FG MULLS CONCESSIONING OF EASTERN, WESTERN RAIL LINES IN 6 MONTHS

KIDNAPPING: IG DEPLOYS 510 POLICEMEN ON ABUJA-KADUNA HIGHWAY

The Acting Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, on Friday launched an operation against kidnappers and other hoodlums by deploying 510 anti-riot policemen on Abuja-Kaduna Expressway. The operation which was backed with 40 patrol vehicles and armoured carriers, was expected to man dark spots and vulnerable points along the road which had become notorious for kidnapping and other violent crimes.
