ABC Transport Plc says it has commenced its sprinter service operations on the Orlu-Port Harcourt and Orlu-Lagos routes.
This service, it said, had been designed for passengers who would like to travel light, with little or no luggage, adding that the ABC Sprinter would run as a direct passenger service with daily departure schedules.
The firm also said the ABC Cargo Express, a division of ABC Transport, had opened an office in Bodija, Ibadan. The opening of the Bodija office now brings the total number of ABC Cargo Express outlets in Oyo state to two.
According to a statement by the company, ABC Cargo Express is set to take delivery of additional new trucks before the last quarter runs out.
In addition to strengthening ABC Cargo Express capacity, manpower training and enhancement, workshops had been organised between February and March 2015, especially for cargo workers, supervisors, and ground operatives. These workshops, which were aimed at imbuing them with the necessary skills to manage modern-day quality service delivery and customer relationship, took place in Owerri.
The next session, aimed at re-orientating the drivers and attendants on matters of defensive driving, is billed for August 2015.
