An elephant has been filmed feasting on potatoes being conveyed in a truck.
“This is the moment a wild elephant stops a truck loaded with potatoes, removes the tarpaulin and begins munching on the goodies,” a YouTube post states.
As presented on YouTube August 1, the majestic animal ignores the gunshot warnings from rangers who try to scare him away, and continues feasting until he had his fill.
The post did not indicate the geographical location of the incident, though.
The truck driver seems to indulge the elephant, as he only moved on after the elephant seems to have had his fill.
And if you are wondering how the elephant got to know what the driver was carrying, here’s a scientific fact about an elephant’s sense of smell, according to online journal, Seaworld: Elephants have a keen sense of smell, detecting water sources up to 19.2 km (12 miles) away.
Nostrils are located at the tip of the trunk and function in breathing, smelling, and drawing water in to squirt into the mouth.
