The Lagos State Government on Friday commenced the recovery of right of way along the Alapere-Agboyi-Ketu axis in line with its policy of providing more infrastructure and easing vehicular traffic in the area.
The project, which is a four-lane road inclusive of a carriageway, will include the development of inner roads like Oluwakemi/Ajiboye Street, according to the government.
Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Wasiu Anifowoshe, in a statement, said that owners of buildings to give way for the project had been engaged and given enough time to remove their belongings.
“We run an all-inclusive government and do not embark on any removal of structures without first seeking the cooperation of the affected people and communities through engagement,” he said.
