Riding on the massive goodwill that trailed the unveiling of the 1st Phase of the Oworo Modern Bus Park, a project targeted at easing the perennial traffic gridlock often experienced at the Oworo end of the third mainland bridge, the Lagos State Government has commenced the immediate construction of the 2nd Phase of the project which is the inward-third-mainland-bridge side of Oworo.
On Saturday, June 25, 2016, Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, in the company of Commissioner For Works & Infrastructure, Engr. Ganiyu Johnson; Commissioner For Waterfront Infrastructure Development, Engr. Adebowale Akinsanya; Special Adviser, Lagos Global, Prof. Ademola Abass; Special Adviser, Urban Development, Mrs. Yetunde Onabule and Commissioner For The Environment, Dr. Babatunde Adejare went on an inspection visit to Oworo Inward Third Mainland Bridge.
The project is expected to be completed in a couple of weeks’ time. See more pictures of the completed 1st Phase and the inspection exercise below.
