A new finance scheme for the purchase of new cars that will be concluded in two days has been introduced in Nigeria, courtesy of Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc and Truckmasters Nigeria Limited.

Specifically, the scheme would enable interested people to acquire Hyundai and Nissan vehicles cars in 48 hours.

The Group Managing Director, Mutual Benefits, Mr. Akin Ogunbiyi, said this during the inauguration of the easy lease auto finance deal in Lagos.

“Nigerians can now acquire their cars in 48 hours through this partnership with Truckmasters,” he said.

The Mutual Benefits boss said insurance is an important aspect of car ownership, adding that the firm was offering an innovative comprehensive insurance on every car and its owner.

“It is a back to back process, which will make claims administration easy for the customers,” he said.

Tony Arenyeka of Truckmasters said the firm is an authorised dealer of the HMNL for Hyundai vehicles in Nigeria.

He said the unique features of the easy life programme were the speed of delivery, shortened approval process from request time to ownership, thus eliminating the bottlenecks usually associated with the traditional banking system.

According to him, Truckmasters and Mutual Benefits believe in the ability of the programme to improve the wellbeing of Nigerians through a convenient acquisition of new vehicles.

Basic features of the easy lease, he said, included phased payment with better cash planning, allowing between 25 to 30 per cent down payment, professionally packaged comprehensive insurance with free tracking device, flexible payment tenures of up to 36 months, and vehicle price discount.

Arenyeka said the customer would be taking delivery of his or her car within 48 hours after meeting and completing the documentation requirements.

As a partner, he said Truckmasters would take extra steps in ensuring that Hyundai cars were available at affordable prices.

Through the lease, he said Nigerians had been encouraged to buy new vehicles to reduce premature maintenance associated with used vehicles.
